Welcome to the Energy Health
Studio!
This is a place made especially for you by me!
The study of energy and energy medicine can sometimes be frustrating and difficult
without the support and encouragement of like-minded individuals. Many of us are not yet
able to use our five senses to experience energy fields.  This means that we must learn
slowly and fully trust our intuitive abilities.  These pages are full of ideas, philosophies,
practices, and imagery that work for me.  I encourage all of you to honor your own
processes, keeping in mind that these are just one set of possibilities in a universe full of
many.
I hope that this learning center can be a source of inspiration and knowledge for
you, and that the exercises and ideas presented will help you along your journey of health
and awareness.
Exercise #1:
The Path of Least
Resistance...
Do you remember sitting in history class, nearly asleep, while the
teacher droned on and on about tea parties or new deals? Or
perhaps you were an English ace but every art class sent you
looking for excuses to get a hall pass...
Each of us has what educators like to call a "learning style".  This
means that some of us learn better when we are made to
listen,
while others need to
see or to store the process kinesthetically -
through actually
doing.
Working with sensing is the same way. Some of you will be more
receptive to visual impressions, while others will be more
auditory or kinesthetic.  Many of you will have more than one
strong sense.  The point is that all can be used, and that all can
be trained.
These exercises will help you determine which senses are your
strongest.  This information is helpful because it will help you to
"tune" your intuition and clue you in as to where you might
receive the most detailed information...and also where you might
need to work a bit harder.
a.

At the end of these instructions, there is a word
that I want you to consider.  There will be a
split-second where your logical mind stops as it
tries to find its own relationship to the word....a
definition or a personal experience you have had.
What you need to do is pay close attention to this
fraction of time where you have
ceased to think.
You could say that for this instant, your natural
response happens - but it will be erased when your
brain kicks in as it comes up with the "right"
inventory for this word.
Ready?
OK, now take a few deep breaths.  Put both your
feet on the floor. Take a few more breaths.  Feel
your feet on the floor - feel them melting into the
floor.  Feel your shoulders dropping as your
awareness moves down into your body. Feel how
calm you feel when your awareness is in your
center.  Know that you are on a journey to find
and experience your own truth.  Your own reality
is the only one in which all of your work will
make sense.  Honor the wisdom that you have,
whether you are conscious of it or not.  Know that
you can trust yourself.  Here is your word:
amusement park.
b.

Well?
What happened?
In your imagination, did you "see" a crowded park,
full of people - or perhaps a roller-coaster?
Did you "hear" the sounds of delighted screams,
motors turning, or a child crying?  Did you "feel"
jostled by the crowd?
Perhaps you thought you could almost smell that
cotton candy?
All of these are possible reactions for this exercise.
Perhaps you experienced more than one of them -
or maybe you "got" nothing at all.  Don't be
disappointed if this happens to you ~ it takes some
time to become aware of these subtle reactions.
Just keep practicing.
c.
Try this exercise with other words.  Try to notice what "sense"
is dominant in your immediate reactions.
Think about your everyday life.  When you learn something
new, how do you best integrate the lesson? Is your dominant
sense involved a great deal?
When you are trying to describe something to someone, what
sort of words do you use? Do you use a lot of "image" words
like 'red' or 'square'? Do you use a lot of "sound" words like
'screechy' or 'laugh'? Do you gesture with your hands? Is your
dominant sense involved a lot?
d.
This exercise has two main lessons:
Hopefully, you have been able to gain some insight into
how your subconscious likes to communicate with you.
It will not be the same for everyone - or even for you all
the time, but it's a nice place to start.  You can use this
knowledge to build confidence.  It is difficult to start this
work and feel lost - like you have no idea where or how
to receive intuitive guidance.  This exercise will show you
that no matter who you are, you are going to receive in
one way or another - and just this small success will give
you the confidence to move foward.
Also, you may have become aware of that tiny fraction of
time where thought is suspended and intuition is
speaking. You might have noticed that there is a different
"flavor" in each of these processes - thought and intuition.
You can use this knowledge to figure out which inner
voice is speaking - your ego, or your higher self.
